3rd August 2012 Update
The Moon moves into Pisces today - which can bring a sensitivity, depth of inner emotions, a tidal wave of imagination / fantasy and drama. The Moon will make conjunctions with Neptune, which will enhance the "piscean" energies + Chiron, which will focus the energies on positive healing.
Those with Moon in Pisces in their natal chart are often over-whelmed with the passion and emotion they feel within - often reflecting the lives and situations of others - rather than their own situations. Empathy is a strong and positive key for working with this placement of the Moon - however, unless recognised and used constructively - melancholy, dependency, depression and sadness can occur - with escapism sort, sometimes through drink an drugs.
Creativity and positive use of imagination and "dreams" are wonderful aspects of this placement.
Famous people with Moon in Pisces include Paul Newman Martin Freeman, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Hugh Hefner, Leonardo da Vinci & Michelangelo
We all have Pisces in our chart - and if you do not have a natal/ birth chart - pls email me on sue@12thhouseastrology.co.uk and I can email you your chart - with a list of where your planets are in signs and in houses
Pisces is the 12th Zodiac Sign and most adaptable, imaginative, over-sensitive, intuitive, delusional, self-pitying / victimised, self-sacrifing, devoted sign in the Zodiac - the water/mutable sign. The most brilliant Astrologer, Liz Greene, calls Pisces "the Celestial Dustbin" - because it is the sum total of all our experiences . I believe this interpretation is well suited for The 12th House.
Ruled* by Neptune - the planet that brings the focus of our dreams, of unconditional compassion, of idealism, escapism, avoidance, creative genius, imagination, forgetfulness, fantasy, telepathy, self-sacrificing, vagueness, religion
The symbol for Pisces is 2 fish swimming in oppositive direction - and this is so significant for the Pisces energy in our chart........ we wonder "which way do I go? Who do I follow? What do I think/feel/want?" - but the symbolic Pisces is held together with a piece of rope - so the indecision is not without purpose - beneath the seemingly helplessness is a cord that ensures that we are never lost - just checking out our options!
The planet Neptune is now transiting in its own sign - from 2011 until 2025 and is bringing clarity to the chaos that often appears to be the Pisces way of life. Acceptance of the holistic therapies will be one easy step forward I feel - along with telepathy, distance healing and belief in the sciences that were previously thought to be "out of this world" . When last in Pisces, around 1848 - the gold rush happened in California ......... hysteria, fantasy and chaos ............ but with some dreams fulfilled - and dreams shattered.
Imagination is core to Pisces/Neptune ......... and we are in a time span when we play out our fantasies and dreams - from love affairs to war battles - using the energy of the internet. Reality / Imagination / fantasy blur ........ and become addictive.....so Pisces!
Chiron, the wounded healer in our chart, is also transiting with Neptune for the next 7 years. Chiron reflects and learns from wounds we incur - and then uses these experiences to support, protect, teach and heal others. Chiron will support Neptune to create practical solutions and ground the confusion.
The 12th House shows how safe we were in the womb - and how we wish / fear returning to this space. Fear of letting go, Fear of joining forces with energies unseen
